Strawberries

We truly enjoyed our little strawberry plants this year.  The girls loved picking the strawberries and of course eating them right off the vine.  Not many made it inside the house...which was perfectly fine.  Just about everyday Kylie would go outside to find "the red ones".  Ellie picked anything that even resembled a strawberry, even taking bites of the green ones.

Nice and juicy!

On the lookout for some yummy strawberries!

Kylie was very good at only picking the ripe ones.

Found one!

Sidewalk Chalk

Drawing on the sidewalk was a favorite this spring.  Even Ellie loved it....but she also loved trying to eat them.  I wonder what she is thinking sometimes!  Well, these pictures were taken back in May, but I wanted to share them.

Kylie drawing rainbows and Ellie drawing lines.

Good thing this is chalk....Ellie always gets so, so, so dirty!

But I guess Kylie gets chalk on her face too.....the sign of a true artist!

Memorial Day Mud Walk - To Stewart Falls

We had such a fun Memorial Day!  Brooke and Mike (and his cousin, Mitch) came to visit which filled our weekend with joy. :)  Monday, we decided to hike Stewart Falls (as did a thousand other people!)  It snowed in the area the day before, which made for a very muddy and slippery experience.  Even though it took twice as long to get to the falls, it was still fun.

The whole gang after our lunch break at the falls

Kylie did super well on the hike.  She actually enjoyed the mud.  Instead of trying to find the driest part of the trail to walk on, she would walk right through the middle of the mud puddle.

So excited to get out of the backpack!

We concluded our hiking adventure with some yummy homemade snow cones from Brooke and Mike.  Great day!

Licorice Face: Revisited

In honor of Grandpa Rowe we gave Ellie some black licorice.
